Wilhelmina & Fernando’s Wedding

To most in our town she has always been known as the fair lady who creates beautiful cakes, and that she most certainly is. But on this day of her wedding – a long awaited event – she was something much different to what I had imagined her to be as a bride.

The wedding was small, intimate and so true to her nature  in the sense of easygoing, inviting and always keeping things interesting. From morning-time beloved friends and family gathered to celebrate an event that would ful-fill the promise of their engagement. The bride  is more familiar to me than the groom, and so also her story of perseverance and love, and to this friend I can only wish happiness until the end of time. Regarding the “something different” than that which I had imagined, I can only state this (as the photos in the woods will tell you how true my thought really is) that if there ever were a Queen of the Fairies in the Wood, it would be her: Wilhelmina.

Dear Wilhelmien and Fernando, we wish you all the happiness both this world and Love can offer.

Infuse your life with action. Don’t wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honour your Creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen. Yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.
